The mystery deepens in The City of the Dead as Capt. Friday, his father, Doc Tuner, Jimmy, and Phyllis look for a murderer, a missing corpse and a “claw-footed man.”

A young couple on an isolated country road car is stolen by two armed robbers. Seeking help, they follow the sounds of mysterious church bells to the City of the Dead where they meet “Mayor” Joshua Friday, the only living resident in a city of thousands.

Adventures by Morse was an action & adventure series produced, written and directed by Carlton E. Morse, who created the eponymous series after NBC canceled his popular series I Love a Mystery.
